50th Anniversary Special – An Encore Presentation of Space Rocket History #214 – Apollo 11 – The Climb to Orbit

A Saturn V liftoff is spectacular, and the launch of Apollo 11 was no exception. But it didn’t give the audience any surprises. To the three Gemini-experienced pilots, who likened the sensation to the boost of a Titan II, it was a normal launch.

  1. This is just amazing.!.Only just found this podcast and my first impression is just how good it is , how well put together and nicely narrated. Filling in even more details for me to appreciate more this momentous achievement.such a powerful memory from my childhood. . I have listened to the Apollo episodes on the Omegatau podcasts (https://omegataupodcast.net/83-how-apollo-flew-to-the-moon/) which are detailed conversations about the engineering and this adds so much to that.and with so much more audio than I have ever heard. Definitely going to aim to listen to as much as I can.
