After listening to your Mercury mission chapters, I was wondering what happened to Deke Slayton. He was the only one of the Mercury Seven who did not fly into space and I wonder why. Maybe you should comment on that on later chapters.

Thanks for the kind words. Deke was grounded in 1962 because of an irregular heart rhythm. He did eventually get to fly on the Apollo-Soyuz Test flight. If I remember, I will mentioned it on the podcast.
