Space Rocket History #338 – Apollo 15 – CDR Dave Scott Part 2 & The Postal Covers Incident

As Command Module Pilot for Apollo 9, Scott’s responsibilities were heavy. The Lunar Module was to separate from the Command and Service Module during the mission; if it failed to return, Scott would have to run the entire spacecraft for reentry, normally a three-man job.

  1. Thanks Mike and Mrs srh. I finally caught up with you. since the start of this crisis in the UK I have been listening to a number of your podcast daily starting right from number one.
    I’ve really enjoyed your oral history of the space race. It’s really good that you’ve include the Russians and all all the other space exploring countries in the correct timeline.
    Although I was only 4 at the time of Apollo 11 I have always had an interest in space.
    Hopefully when times are better I will be able to visit America again and visit some of the space museums across the south of America.
